Movie Artistes Association (MAA) elections which happen every two years always generate lot of interest. Many often led to huge controversies and even fistfights. One got a feeling that it fast turning out to be nothing less than political fistfights.

The upcoming MAA elections in September also is heating the atmosphere with Prakash Raj, Hema, Jeevitha, and Manchu Vishnu entering the battle. Though there are 950 members, during the polling, most of the top stars stay away from voting. The top stars who draw hefty paychecks do not show interest in casting their votes and this many times attracted huge criticism.

This loophole is surprising everyone and people wonder whether MAA is not keen on addressing this issue or heroes themselves are not showing interest. This is unlike the situation in other languages like Nadigar Sangam in Kollywood where all the top stars take special responsibility and cast their votes. It has to be seen how many top stars will cast their votes this time in MAA elections.
