Tollywood Overseas Market To Revive?

Adivi Sesh’s Major, which is the biopic on NSG commando Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, has been sold to a staggering price for overseas rights. The overseas rights have been sold to Weekend Cinema along with Southern Star International for a gargantuan price. 

What makes the deal special is that after the pandemic outbreak, after the first wave, the domestic market was seeing surging. Films like Uppena and Krack were blockbusters and gave hope for the cinema. HOwever, the overseas market continued to be in a  dull phase.

Of late, things seem to be on the brighter side as the vaccination drive is full throttle. And with Major being sold to a whopping price it has made things brighter in the offing for the Tollywood market overseas. Many big projects like RRR, Pushpa, Acharya among others are in the pipeline for release. And major has acted as an elixir for the big push.
