The deaths of COVID patients due to the shortage of Oxygen at Ruia Hospital, Tirupati made people heartbroken. The situation was quite devastating when the patients yelled for oxygen supply.

Meanwhile, the AP CM Jagan Reddy is drawing in intense ire of the people for his negligence in caring for the COVID patients and for letting the officials give the twisted reports on the death toll.

De facto, the CM couldn't be blamed for the fatalities at Ruia as the entire country is facing the appalling situation in the second wave of corona spreading. However, the way the facts were hidden behind the delay of the oxygen tanker's arrival and number of deaths with the oxygen shortage exploited the misgovernance of Jagan Reddy

Though the officials disclosed the total deaths are 11, the actual number is said to be 25. On the other hand, Ruia officials confirmed that a total of 47 fatalities were recorded in the past 24 hours. Obviously, half of them might have died of the lag in oxygen supply.

And this very factor made the people enraged with the poor administration of the YSRCP government. A hashtag #ResignJagan trended at all India level with more than 47K tweets.

Jagan Reddy announced Rs.10 lack ex-gratia for the deceased. In a sad state of affairs, only 11 families of the fatalities would be receiving the ex-gratia. The families of the unofficial deaths wouldn't get the benefit.
