The 40-year-old glorious party, the Tdp, has fallen into a state of deep crisis of its existence in both the Telugu states. The latest update from political sources created panic among the staunch loyalists of the Tdp.
Reports are that the Tdp MLAs Mecha Nageswara Rao and Sandra Venkata Veeraiah from Telangana state met the speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy on Wednesday and submitted him their letter of consent to let the TDLP merge into the ruling TRSLP.
Hitherto, both the MLAs met the CM KCR and asserted their willingness to join the TRS party. As the MLAs joined the TRS, there would be no representative on behalf of the Tdp in the assembly.
Meanwhile, an official announcement on the merger of the TDLP will be made by the speaker shortly. The TRS is expected to be benefitted with the Tdp MLAs decision for the forthcoming Khammam by-elections.
