Addressing a public meeting after inaugurating the Orvakal Airport in Kurnool today, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy named the airport after freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. CM Jagan, along with the Union Minister, inaugurated the airport and dedicated it to the nation.

Megastar Chiranjeevi, who played the role of the freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy in his pan-India film Sye Raa, has welcomed CM Jagan’s move. He took to Twitter and said that it was fortunate and honoured to play the great soul on screen.

This will be the sixth civilian airport in the State after Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Vijayawada, Rajamahendravaram and Kadapa.
