In the film industry, it’s important to do an honest analysis of one’s choices from time to time to last long. Most actors take success for granted and in the process, make mistakes that are tough to undo later. There’s no doubt that Jd Chakravarthy was a force to reckon with at a point in time, though the last few outings as an actor haven’t worked for him. At this juncture, he is returning as a male lead with MMOF that’s releasing this Friday.

MMOF, in its mirror reflection, reads like ‘70 MM’ and the plot revolves around a series of murders in an old theatre in Hyderabad. Jd Chakravarthy, during the promotional events of the movie, had said that the audiences who’re now used to watching a variety of content on OTT are very likely to appreciate the film. Directed by Yen S See, N Rajasekhar has bankrolled MMOF that also features Manoj Nandan, Akshitha in key roles.

JD’s second innings hasn’t exactly been successful – Dynamite, Hippi, Nakshatram have been super flops. At a time where he could have focused on choosing good character lines and transforming himself on the lines of Arjun, Jagapathi Babu or Sarath Kumar, the decision to make a comeback as a lead actor is hardly viable for the producer or the actor himself. JD, over the years, has tried his hand at production and direction too, though luck hasn’t favoured him. Age is clearly on his side and the actor has the right physique to go for many genres. Hope JD makes time for self-introspection before he makes his next choice.
