Megastar Chiranjeevi recently gave pleasant surprise to his fans by sharing a picture of himself in his new look. He had gone bald and also trimmed his trademark moustache. In the photo, Chiranjeevi can be seen wearing sunglasses and called himself an 'Urban monk'.
While some speculated that Chiranjeevi tonsured his head for his upcoming film Acharya with director Koratala Siva, few reported that it was for his first web series with Allu Aravind. But, it seems, both are not true. Chiru tonsured his head for look test for his next film with Meher Ramesh. It’s an official remake of Tamil hit Vedalam.
Meher Ramesh who is making comeback after ages is reportedly working on the script for last three years and he even narrated the story to Chiranjeevi recently. Chiru is said to have loved the script and is keen to start it.
However, Chiranjeevi’s act shocked Koratala who was planning to resume the shoot from next month. With Chiru tonsuring his head, it is not possible for the film shoot to resume for another 2 to 3 months. Already, Koratala is stuck with the project for 2 years.
The corona lockdown and now Chiru’s act further delay the project. Actually, Koratala planned to wrap up the shoot by January end or in February to release the film in summer. But, it seems, Acharya may release late in summer.
It is known that, Koratala will next be making a film with stylish star Allu Arjun.
