It's Absolutely Trash on Uppena

Supreme hero Sai Tej's brother and Megastar Chiranjeevi's nephew Vaishna Tej's debut with the film Uppena is a known news for the movie lovers. The film which got its shoot wrapped up a long while ago, was supposed to hit screens on April 2 as a summer gift for the audience. 

But then, owing to ensuing lockdown imposed by the union government, the film had to get deferment indefinitely. As it would take much time theatres to get started, rumours had been afloat that Uppena would be telecast on OTT platform and Amazon and Aha were competing to acquire the movie's rights. 

Uppena's team, however, rubbished the hearsay making it clear that the digital rights were already sold out to Netflix. Further, they said film would be shown on OTT only after its release in theatres irrespective of the delay in the resumption of theaters for screening. 

Newbie Kriti Shetty played Vaishnav's romantic interest in this romantic and emotional thriller. Rockstar DSP's tunes stood as chartbusters. Director Sukumar's protege Sana Buchibabu helmed the project under Mythri Movie Makers.
