RRR: Don’t Take The Announcement Seriously?

Due to coronavirus outbreak all the shootings got cancelled and release dates have been differed. A clarity will come on release dates of films only after lockdown is lifted and theaters will be reopened. Still, we can’t assure of audience to grace the theaters at this juncture when corona cases are on raise across the globe.

Meanwhile, there has been lots of talk about release date of ace director SS Rajamouli’s RRR starring mega power star Ram Charan and young tiger NTR. Producer DVV Danayya clarified saying there won’t be any delay in the film’s release as they are utilizing the lockdown time to complete VFX and other post-production works of the film.

Nonetheless, we can’t take his words seriously. Earlier as well, the makers stated to release the film on initially scheduled date of July 30th. They even affirmed to have completed 75% of shoot then. After few days, they had come up with another statement stating RRR is pushed to January 8th for Sankranthi.

Most probably, they don’t wish to miss the opportunity to release RRR for Sankranthi given it is best season for films release and they are in talks with other producers not to release their films for the festival. Fortunately, Alia Bhatt who is dying to work with Rajamouli has given her nod to allot call sheets by the end of May.

Things are absolutely favoring RRR makers. But, the question is will they complete all the remaining works within the deadline and release it for Sankranthi, 2021. Although makers say they have completed nearly 85% of the shoot, there's possibility of Rajamouli going for re-shoots, if he isn't pleased with anything!
