It was a dreadful mishap when a huge crane crashed leading to the death of three film unit members and 10 injured at the location of Indian 2.
Director Shankar, who escaped the threat by a whisker, fell in a state of deep shocker.
"It is with utmost grief, I’m tweeting.Since the tragic incident,I’ve been in a state of shock & having sleepless nights on the loss of my AD & crew.Having missed the crane by a whisker,I feel it would’ve been better if it was on me. Heartfelt condolences & prayers to the families," tweeted the disheartened director.
Meanwhile, hero Kamal Haasan pledged Rs.1 crore each to the families of the deceased.
Indian 2 has Kajal and Rakul Preet Singh in other key roles. Lyca Productions has bankrolled the project.
