NTR's Wife Supports Bold Film KS

Bollywood beauty Vidya Balan made her Tollywood debut playing the role of NTR's wife in his biopic Kathanayakudu and Mahanayakudu. Though the Balakrishna's starrer bombed at the box office, Vidya Balan's performance as NTR's wife Basavatarakam won the appreciation of all.

Meanwhile, Vidya Balan surprised all by coming in support of the bold film. It is known that Shahid Kapoor, Kiara Advani's Kabir Singh directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, a remake of Tollywood hit Arjun Reddy has been panned by the critics and many Bollywood celebrities.

They branded the director and the cast and crew as a misogynist. However, Vidya Balan defended Kabir Singh. She said previously she too would have had the same reaction and questioned how one could glorify Kabir Singh since he was violent and disrespectful towards women.

She added however since there are many Kabir Singhs in the world and especially in the country, she is okay with it. She said gone are the days that shoddy content could be forced on the viewers and added there is an audience for all kinds of stories.

She affirmed that responsibility does not lie only with the filmmaker but the entire team. She says it’s a two-way process as movie lovers' reaction too encourages makers to come with such films.
