Numero Uno director SS Rajamouli initially announced to release Rrr on July 30th. Although there were various reports of the film getting postponed, the film’s cast and crew condemned them until they officially announced January 8, 2020 as the new release date.

The team announced three months ago that, already 70% of the shoot was completed. Then, why the film got postponed, though they have enough time to wrap up remaining portions. It is reliably learnt that, Ram Charan was shocked to see rushes of the film.

The main focus was on NTR, wherein Charan’s role is restricted as extended cameo. So, Rajamouli who too felt the same is now going for repairs. He is said to have made few changes in the script and is planning to re-shoot few key scenes.

Now, as per the developed script, Charan and NTR will be given equal importance. It is also heard that, megastar Chiranjeevi was shown rushes and he too expressed his unhappiness over the way Charan’s role is cut down.

Usually, Rajamouli doesn’t like involvement of others in his films. He indeed puts conditions of not to compromise on budget and not to bother him if he goes for re-shoots. Given the track record of Rajamouli, no producer dares to put him any conditions, rather providing all the resources he demands.

In case of Rrr, the film’s producer DVV Danayya is very close to mega family. Rajamouli too has immense respect for Chiru. “It was unintended on how Charan’s role was shaped up. So, after watching rushes, Rajamouli decided to alter script and re-shoot few scenes to elevate Charan’s character. So, the makers decided to postpone the film to Sankranthi,” informs a source.

On the other hand, mega fans are happy to know the postponement news because they too were worried on the speculations of Charan’s role got trimmed. With Rajamouli getting enough time, he will now make the film in a way to balance the roles of NTR and Charan.
