Mahesh Babu's Sarileru Neekevvaru and Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo hit the screens for this Sankranthi season. As of now, SLN completed three days run and AVPL completed two days run. Here is the exact status of both the films at the moment.
Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo: The film, that collected around Rs.37 crore share world wide on its first day, continued its dream run on day two as well. The film is running well in all A, B and C centres of Telugu states. One of the biggest advantages for the film is that it registered stupendous success in Overseas including US and other countries. The film's two days collections are almost equal to SLN's 3 days collections in the territory. AVPL collected around Rs.13 crore gross for two days in Overseas. The film has reportedly crossed Rs.50 crores share world wide for two days.
SARILERU NEEKEVVARU: Ever since the release, the film has been doing good in Telugu states. Especially, the film is exhibiting tremendous performance in Nizam area. The movie minted Rs.12+ crore for two days in Nizam alone. The film's collections are decent in overseas as well with Rs.14 crore gross collections for three days. However, the film showed a clear dip of collections on Monday. For an instance, AVPL collected $80,280 so far on Monday while SLN accumulated $23,080. It must also be remembered that SLN had been sold out for Rs.103 crores while AVPL's pre release theatrical business is valued to Rs.88 crore.
OVERALL ANALYSIS: On a whole, AVPL stood as a blockbuster in all areas and the film is surely to reach break even by the end of festive season. On the other hand, SLN has become a super hit in Telugu states and decent in Overseas. The overall result of the film depends on its festival and post festival collections given its exorbitant pre release business.
