Super Star Rajinikanth had been going through toughest phase. Already there is a very little buzz for his upcoming entertainer Darbar directed by AR Murugadoss. The makers are planning to release the film on January 9th as Pongal treat. 

Meanwhile, The Madras High Court directed production house Lyca Productions to respond to a petition seeking a ban on the film release.

DMY Creations earlier claimed that they have loaned Rs 12crs at a rate of Rs 30% p.a to Lyca for producing Rajinikanth's 2.0 release in 2018. The amount rose to Rs 23.70crs and DMY creations sought a ban on Darbar release till the dues are settled.

They also in their petition said that they bought the distribution rights for Darbar in Malaysia from Lyca for Rs 20crs. After hearing the case filed by DMY Creations, Justice Govindaraj sent a notice to Lyca Productions to respond by Jan 2nd.

Rajinikanth is playing dual roles in the film and in one role he will be seen as a powerful police officer. Rajini is romancing Nayanthara while  Suniel Shetty, Prateik Babbar, Yogi Babu, Jeeva, Prakash Raj, Nivetha Thomas, Dalip Tahil, Soori, Harish Uthaman, Manobala, Suman, Anandaraj, Rao Ramesh and Bose Venkat are starring in important roles.
