Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday met Bollywood celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, to discuss initiatives to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and said plans are afoot to host an international entertainment summit in India.

The interaction took place at the PM Modi's official residence in New Delhi. Modi discussed his ideas and addressed the film fraternity as the beholder of immense power. The PM said as India celebrates its 75th Independence Day in 2022; the entertainment industry should showcase the inspiring stories of the country's freedom struggle from 1857 to 1947 and the nation's growth story from 1947 to 2022.

Shockingly, celebs from south industry did not get the invitation for the event. Only, producer Dil Raju is seen in the pictures from the event. It seems, Upasana feels bad for Modi’s negligence on Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam industries and the event confined to only Bollywood fraternity.

Upasana posted, “Dearest Narendra Modi ji. We in South of India admire you and proud to have you as our Prime Minister. With all due respect, we felt that the representation of leading personalities and cultural icons was limited only to Hindi artists and the South film industry was neglected. I express my feelings with pain and hope it is taken in the right spirit.”

Modi in his speeches mentioned the name Baahubali many a times. But, he forgot to invite people from south industry which made many historical and patriotic films.
