Chanakya Off To Lukewarm Response

Macho hero Gopichand’s hilarious entertainer Loukyam released during Dussehra in 2014 and the film directed by Sriwass turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office. To cash on the festival season, Gopichand has come up with his latest outing Chanakya released yesterday to mixed response.

Chanakya is off to lukewarm response in all the centers. The film collected Rs 28 lakhs on day one in Nizam, 7.8 lakhs in Krishna and 20.7 lakhs in Guntur. As per trade reports, the film has done below par business in all the other centers in Andhra Pradesh.

Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s magnum opus Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy witnessed some growth on Saturday. Bollywood film War starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff has performed far better to Chanakya in few areas in Telugu states.

Directed by Thiru, Chanakya featured Mehreen Pirzada in female lead role.
