Arundhati: Anushka To Replace Anushka?

Sweaty Ansuhka Shetty created a sensation with her powerful performance in Arundhati in 2009. The horror entertainer directed by Kodi Ramakrishna turned out to be a sensational hit and it gave Anushka powerful image on the screen.

Anushka later went on to show her power in films like Vedam, Panchakshari, Rudramadevi, Baahubali, Bhaagamathie and others. Many actresses dreamed of a role like Anushka's Arundhati but it never happened.

For quite some time, efforts are on to remake the film in Bollywood. The names of top actresses like Anushka Sharma, Kareena Kapoor did rounds but nothing materialized.

According to the latest, two filmmakers have done extensive research and have now taken over the rights of Arundhati. They are now planning to cast either Kareena Kapoor or Anushka Sharma in the lead while Sonu Sood will reprise his role. More details will be unveiled soon.
