Vijay Devarakonda became Genex Star with the sensations like Pelli Choopulu, Arjun Reddy and Geetha Govindam. However his fall from grace is even quicker than his rise to stardom.

Many highlighted his attitude and colored it as arrogance and it affected his films and to the top of it, few heroes who saw him as a threat worked against him in a secret manner. They are now celebrating his recent failures at the box office.

Vijay Devarakonda who was in two minds whether to team with Puri Jagannath even after his iSmart Shankar's sensation, at once got alert after Dear comrade debacle. He without any second thought gave green signal to the project. 

Puri is said to have readied the story longtime back and even narrated it to many heroes who rejected it outright. Though Puri narrated the story to few producers, even they too rejected it. But what shocked all is Vijay Devarakonda gave green signal to the rejected version of Puri's story. Buzz is Puri did not even have the full line and narrated only for 15 minutes and got the go ahead from Vijay.

The question is whether Vijay really loved the line and gave green signal or decided that all the stories coming from Puri's pen will be routine and gave the go ahead is still a mystery. Many are wondering how Puri got green signal from Vijay Devarakonda for the story which was getting rejected for so many years.
