Venky Mama Playing A Risky Game!

Victory Venkatesh, Naga Chaitanya's upcoming entertainer Venky Mama directed by Bobby is in the final stages. The film is generating interest as Venkatesh is coming after scoring a hit with F2 (Fun & Frustration) and Naga Chaitanya’s last outing Majili was a commercial hit.

Raashi Khanna and Payal Rajput play female leads in the film for which music is scored by Thaman. Suresh Babu who is producing the film is planning to release it in October and is closing business deals. Now the film's budget nearing Rs 50crs is becoming a hot topic in the industry.

Suresh Babu is known for his business acumen and he plans his films in his production house with minimum risk in a calculated manner. But it seems he is coming out of his shell and is going according to the market trend by going away with solo production and investing in joint ventures.

Though Venky Mama has two more partners, inside talk is everything is over seen by Suresh Babu. Frankly speaking it is not an easy thing for Venky Mama to have a budget of Rs 50crs. Chaitu and Venky do not have that stamina to bring that share individually.

F2 got more than that but Sankranti season played a key role apart from the comedy which worked out very well. Only if Venky Mama has greater comedy content than F2 it will work out.

Sources reveal that budget shot up due to the action scenes in the military backdrop. It is known that Chaitu is playing the role of an army officer in the film. It is not clear whether the producers really invested so much money on the project or is just sending feelers to generate hype but Venky Mama is playing a risky game.
