Way back in early 1980s, then CM NTR would make many administrative blunders. One of such blunders was the liquor ban. The gangsters and smugglers made well use of the innocent decision of NTR and emerged as liquor dons.

It seems Sharwanand's Ranarangam story is an inspiration of one of such dons. Sharwanand's promising film Ranarangam theatrical has been out. In the beginning Sharwa's romantic angle is shown a bit. Addressing at heroine Kalyani Priyadarshan, Sharwa says, "Mumtaj kosam Shah Jahan dabbulekkuvai Taj Mahal kattadanukunna. Kaanee....kontha mandikosam kattocchu..kharchu pettocchu."

Then the story goes back to 80s when NTR imposed a liquor ban. The young thud Sharwa makes use of liquor ban, advances himself a gangster and earns millions in the business. And then, again he is shown an aged man. "Power Unte Saripodu... Adi Yevari Meedha Choopinchalo Kuda Thelusu Kovali," he is seen uttering the dialogue.

Sharwa has done fabulously in both the get ups he portrayed. Kalyani is shown his love interest while Kajal is seen at glimpses. BGM by Prashanth Pillai is apt to the content. On a whole, the film appears to be a good choice for mass film lovers.
