Unlike his elder brother Vijay Devarakonda, Anand Devarakonda has picked a periodic film for his launch pad film. Dorasani, a film based on true events during 80s in Telangana, also marks acting debut for Jeevitha-Rajasekhar’s younger daughter Shivathima.
Vijay Devarakonda mostly starred in youthful entertainers like Pelli Choopulu, Arjun Reddy and Geetha Govindam. His next two films Dear Comrade and Kranthi Madhav directing untitled flick are also targeted at youth.
However, Anand Devarakonda unlike his brother had chosen an atypical subject. Dorasani is a love story between a low class boy and a young mistress. Anand needed to wear cheap clothes sans makeup and no cinematic liberty was taken to glamorize himself or look handsome.
On the contrary to Vijay, he looked like any other regular youngster from rural milieu, and hence very relatable to the character he portrayed.
What intrigued everyone was, Anand Devarakonda’s voice sounded analogous to Vijay Devarakonda. As we reported earlier, Vijay is expected to attend one of the promotional events of Dorasani to boost up prospects on the KVR Mahindra directorial.
Dorasani is all set for grand release on July 12th. We need to wait and see whether Anand Devarakonda will make his mark like his brother Vijay Devarakonda!
