Mallesham: Suresh Productions Blamed!

Mallesham, a biopic on Padma Shri Awardee Chintakindi Mallesham who invented Asu Machine to ease pain of weavers, released last week to rave reviews from critics. But, the film that starred Priyadarshi and Ananya Naglla in lead under the direction of Raj Rachakonda is turning out to be a flop.

Apparently, Priyadarshi who pinned many hopes on the film might have disappointed with the unexpected response from movie buffs. Though he was lauded for his performance, audience didn’t show much interest to watch the film since films of these kinds will not have commercial viability.

Interestingly, recent release Brochevarevarura where Priyadarshi played one of the lead roles is winning appreciation of all, besides making good business at box office. Priyadarshi blames distributors in the matter of lukewarm response for Mallesham.

“Content is King. But, Distribution is God. Period. Clearly, audience are the game-changers and with films like #brochevaruevaru distributed by Suresh Productions has reached out to many audience across. BTW it's a praise-statement not a complaint!” tweeted Priyadarshi.

But, the fact is Mallesham was also distributed by Suresh Productions, the top distribution house that released Brochevarevarura. Despite good promotions and positive reviews, Mallesham due to various reasons is turning out to be a dud.
