The demolition of Praja Vedika, a convention hall for people's grievances, was begun on Tuesday evening and is on the verge of completion. Two days ago, AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a meeting with collectors and other bureaucrats and said the government was convening the meeting at an illegal construction. Saying so, he said it was the last meeting in Praja Vedika. Subsequently, he issued orders to the officials concerned to get the building demolished.
Praja Vedika was constructed during the regime of TDP government as per the orders of then CM Chandrababu Naidu. The construction is located next to CBN's house at Undavalli on the banks of river Krishna.
Many acts were overruled during the illegal construction of Praja Vedika such as River Conservation Act, Lokayukta recommendations,. Environment Protection Act, National Green Tribunal orders.
Janasena chief Power Star Pawan Kalyan responded on the demolition of Praja Vedika. He welcomed the demolition but then he demanded YS Jagan to get all those illegal constructions at Karakatta, Undavalli which violated the rules are demolished. Besides, Pawan Kalyan said he would praise YS Jagan with the word 'Shabash' after YS Jagan takes decision to get all the illegal constructions are demolished.
Interestingly, many constructions of renowned personalities are located at Karakatta. Lingamaneni Estate where CBN's residence is situated, Manthena Ramalinga Raju's Ashram, Tulasi Vanam, Gokaraju Gangaraju's buildings etc. were built breaking river conservation and environmental protection acts.
Furthermore, there are innumerable illegal constructions across AP state. Thousands of YSR statues were also erected violating many rules. It remains to be seen whether YS Jagan lets all these constructions demolished or not. If he does it, not only Power Star but also every person in the state hails YS Jagan with an immense admiration and adulation.
