Why He Made Only One Film With Chiru?

Movie Moghul Ramanaidu after establishing Suresh Productions in 1964 did many blockbuster films with almost all top stars. Suresh Productions completed 55 years and it is a record that a production company doing films for so many decades without any break. However much to the surprise of all, Ramanaidu who did numerous films with various stars, did only one film with Mega Star Chiranjeevi.

Suresh Babu, revealing the reason said, “The journey started with NTR's Ramudu Bheemudu. Father didn’t do films with any stars with the condition that they will provide him dates. He never ran after successful people. Our production principle is to bring into limelight those reeling under failures. So he never waited for any heroes. He did his first film with NTR. During those days, producers used to do films only when NTR gave dates. However my father was in a hurry. So he continuously started doing films.

NTR once remarked, 'em brother.. wait cheyandi' for which my father used to say he should pay salaries to office people etc. NTR dates used to get delayed for my dad and so he never tried to get his dates. It is easy to do films with same age group heroes. But with youngsters, it never happened. Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna were close to my father. But he never used to go to them and seek their dates. He never tried under the impression that they may ask him to wait for six months or one year. Our banner got success without stars.

Even before Chiranjeevi's Khaidi we did Sangharshana with him. Later we did films with Balakrishna. Apart form it films like Pratidhwani, Prema Khaidi without any stars too became super hit. With Venkatesh entering films after 86, we started making films with him."

Rana is now planning to establish new production banner to make small to medium range films.
