Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna planned to pay floral tributes to his dad, former CM of AP, legendary actor NTR with a biopic on screen. Initially he roped in Teja to direct the film. But, Teja walked out of the project expressing his inability to live up to the expectations and Krish completed the biopic.

It was reported that Teja couldn't get along with Balakrsihna and he was replaced due to the difference of opinion. No one responded on the controversy and even dialogue writer Burra Sai Madhav did not clarify on the rumors. So the media decided that rift between Teja and Balakrishna was the real reason.

Teja who is now coming to entertain with his upcoming entertainer Sita revealed the real reason. When asked why he walked out after directing few scenes for a week, he said, "I felt I couldn't do justice to NTR. I do not have the required talent to film his life on screen and that's why I did not do it."

When asked why did he lose his confidence after entering the project and shooting few scenes and whether Balakrishna was the reason, Teja replied, “When I went into the depth of the story after the opening, I felt that I couldn't do justice to NTR". On whether differences with Balakrishna being the reason, Treja revealed, “Nothing like that. I always see my personal views. I do not see whether Balayya was hurt or not. I extract what I want using some or the other trick."

He then surprised all saying, "I did not watch even the single frame of NTR biopic. Had I watched, I would have compared and felt that I would have taken this scene better. He shouldn't have done that scene in such a manner. Even when I did not take the biopic, I got a good name. Many felt that had Teja directed, he wouldn't have come with such an end product. However, I do not agree with them. I left the project as I couldn't do it. Had I directed, I would have come with even mediocre outcome."
