Entire nation is witnessing general elections and while two Telugu states Telangana and Andhra Pradesh went to polls in the first phase, Tamil Nadu went for polls in the second phase.

But what came as a surprise is while Tamil Tambis drew inspiration from their stars like Ilayadalapati Vijay to vote, Telugu Tammulu drew inspiration from their stars like King Nagarjuna not to vote and instead enjoy watching films. It is known that many constituencies in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh recorded low poll percentage and at the same time many theatres witnessed huge collections. This is unlike Tamil Nadu where theatres management voluntarily closed the theatres for the day till 5 PM.

What came as a shock is while Tamil stars competed with each other to cast their vote, Telugu stars like Nagarjuna flew away on the voting day to romance hot beauties in Portugal. Many Tamil Tambis drew inspiration from Vijay-Murugadoss' starrer Sarkar which highlighted the section 49P in the Conduct of Elections Rules 1961 which gives the power to a person who seeks to vote after another person has already voted as such elector.

People, who found that their votes have been cast, were seen arguing with the officials and cited Section 49P in the conduct of election rules and succeeded in casting their votes in the tendered ballot paper after signing their names in Form 17B. Later they thanked Murgadoss and Vijay for enlightening them about Section 49 P in Sarkar.
