It is undeniable that Telugu director SS Rajamouli is having upper hand over Tamil director Shankar who once made south industry hits. In fact, when Shankar was making blockbusters, Rajamouli was a newcomer to industry.

Gentleman, Premikudu, Bharateeyudu, Oke Okkadu and Robot are the examples to show how good filmmaker he is. Robot was the most expensive film during its release, nonetheless the Rajinikanth starrer ended as industry hit in many languages.

Then Shankar remade 3 Idiots in Tamil as Namban which was an above average grosser in Tamil and was a flop in other languages. The star director faced bitter result with his last outing I released in Telugu as Manoharudu. Shankar is now coming up with 2.0, sequel to Robot and is Asia’s most expensive film.

Expectations were sky high on Robot as India hadn’t witnessed a technically and visually amazing film earlier. However, after watching Baahubali 2 part series, Telugu audience are not that keen to watch 2.0 which has been delayed numerous times.

Moreover, teaser of the film disappointed to the core. Today, the makers will be releasing theatrical trailer. Telugu producers who shelled out around 100 cr for Telugu rights are hoping the trailer will change prospects on the film releasing on 29th of this month.
