Sri Thenandal Films caught the attention of every eyeball when announced India's costliest project Sanghamitra. Nonetheless, the project encountered a major obstacle when the leading lady Shruti Haasan walked out of the project citing the reason as the makers hadn't got bound script with them.

Afterwards, Disha Patani replaced Shruti in the project. Finally, the project will be rolled down in the month of August.. Jayam Ravi and Arya will be seen in other crucial roles in the movie. The makers are all set to shell out Rs.450 crores on the film. The Telugu, Hindi and Tamil multi-lingual project's music will be scored by AR Rehaman.

Touted to be a fantasy adventurous drama Sanghamitra will be directed by Sundar C.
