Chiranjeevi Reminds Big Blunder with Yandamoori

Megastar Chiranjeevi and then top producer KS Rama Rao's films such as Abhilasha, Challenge, Rakshasudu and Marana Mrudangam not only stood super hits but also inspired mega fans to the core. Chiranjeevi, KS, Yandamoori, A Kodandarami Reddy and Ilayaraja became the deadly combo of Tollywood those days.

However, the combo's Stuartpuram Police Station became a debacle at the box office. The biggest change in the combo was that Yandamoori Veerendranadh directed the project. 

Meanwhile, Megastar Chiranjeevi attended the audio launch of Tej I Love You on June 9. Chiranjeevi disclosed the reason for Stuartpuram Police Stations's debacle. He said, "In fact, KS Ramarao garu was reluctant with Yandamoori directing the project. However, I, myself, ,insisted him to rope in Yandamoori. He already delivered a flop with his debut venture Agnipravesham. Even then, I recommended Yandamoori's name for direction. If at all any other director was preferred, the movie could have run well.

It is a known fact that Megastar bounced back immediately with an industry hit Gang Leader post the release of SPS.
