Veteran Changed His Mind After Special Show

AP government honors the best performances in Tollywood with Nandi awards. While the winners are pleased, those who expect award and failed to win one get depressed. In one such incident, Legendary Actor SV.Rangarao turned furious for not bestowing him the prestigious Nandi award.

Svr expected Golden Nandi for his film Chadarangam. He acted, directed and produced the film in 1967. However the Nandi jury warded only silver Nandi for the film. ANR and Adurti's Sudigundalu won the Golden Nandi for the year. 

Sudigundalu at the time of Nandi entries, only had completed its censor formalities and hadn't yet released. As per the rules, films which are done with censor formalities can only be considered for Nandi awards. 

Svr then held a press conference and had questioned, 'How can the jury present a yet to be released film a golden Nandi even  before knowing the verdict of the people.'

Under these circumstances, ANR and Adurti invited Svr for the special screening of Sudigundalu. Svr after watching the special screening, called the press and shared that, such a great film should definitely get golden Nandi.
