Post the merger of PRP into the Congress party Megastar Chranjeevi was offered Rajyasabha seat by the Congress party. Besides, Chiranjeevi rendered his services as a union tourism minister during the Manmohan Singh's government. 

And now, Chiranjeevi's tenure as an MP will be ended on April 2. In the meanwhile, some media houses cooked up stories that Chiranjeevi's political career gets ended on April 2 officially.

However, when contacted sources close to Chiranjeevi, they made it clear that as of now, there had been no such plans of political retirement to Chiranjeevi. "If at all, Chiranjeevi garu decides to take any crucial decision, he would inform to the media and public officially. Till then, aired reports are nothing to do with Chiranjeevi garu," they said. 

On the other hand, Chiranjeevi's political fans are predicting that Megastar would be busy in active politics post the shoot of Sye Raa Narasimhareddy is wrapped up.
