Senior Heroine Exposes Legends

Yesteryear heroine Jamuna during her hay days romanced top Tollywood stars and attained immense stardom stealing the hearts of movie lovers with her expressive eyes and electrifying performances on silver screen. In a TV channel, Jamuna shared many secrets about the top stars she romanced with. 

She said right from the start she used to give importance to the story and her role and never bothered about the hero. She said she never set terms that she would star only with a particular hero and starred opposite NTR, ANR, Krishna, Haranath,Jaggaiah and others. 

She said at one stage one of the hero remarked, why are you doing with all heroes as you like. You should have told directors that our combination looks good on screen. Many heroines are setting their preferences,why don't you do the same?' She said she was not used to such things and told him that it was the prerogative of the director and the producer. 

She said from then on these heroes started ignoring her insisting on the makers to remove her from their films. She also added that she wouldn't say they boycotted her but she from the beginning started acting with other stars and never begged these stars to give chance opposite them. 

Speaking about Haranath, Jamuna said she refused to star opposite him saying he was scared of her though they gave many hits. She said he never used to come drunk in the sets but on one fine day,he came drunk in the morning. She said she refused to shoot and asked the director to plan the shoot in the evening. She said after that film,she refused to star opposite him.
