Recently, Vemuri Radha Krishna, the managing director of Aamoda Publications, has telecasted a 15 year mile stone editorial of this channel Abn Andhra Jyothy. In this editorial, he specifically mentioned about Rajdeep Sardesai and their plans of floating a new Telugu channel.

Radha Krishna has mentioned that Rajdeep Sardesai has sent his people for talks on floating the channel. He also noted that the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Y S Rajashekar Reddy had played a crucial role in letting this not happen.

When contacted Rajdeep Sardesai on the same, he said “I don’t remember any definite plan to start a Telugu channel. We were approached for support but no commitment was given. The Andhra Jyothy MD I think met us once to discuss starting a channel. But I don’t recall the conversations going very far from our end since we were already handling our own channels at the time.

While Rajdeep did not deny any happenings, it is pretty clear that things didn’t go as specified by Radha Krishna in his editorial. Though they planned to start a channel, it was actually RK and his team who went for help rather than they asking for help as put in the editorial.

Whatever it may be, at last truth prevails and we hope to see some clarity soon as who is lying and who is not.
