Actor turned politician Anupam Kher resorted to a huge sensation announcing the project The Accidental Prime Minister. This movie was supposed to be a political satire on the former Prime Minister of India Dr Manmohan Singh and AICC president Sonia Gandhi.

It is a known thing that Anupam Kher has been a hardcore loyalist of BJP. He took a dig at Congress party and its top brass several times. His intention of making the film on the life of former PM was very clear. It was further speculated top leaders of BJP have extended their support to Anupam Kher in announcing the project. Perhaps, Anupam Kher and other BJP heads wished to get benefited politically with the film.

However, here comes a huge shocker to Anupam Kher and team. Censor Board's chairman Pahlaj Nihalani asked the makers to get the permission of Manmohan Singh and Sonia before making the film. As of now, no filmmaker has faced Censor Board's objections even before the film gets rolled down. The first look of TAPM was released two days ago and received criticism from all corners. Perhaps, the Censor Board received the appeals of the people which made them coming up with an advice to Anupam Kher.
