Straightaway after the surgical strike on PoK was done, the army chief came into the picture and proclaimed that the military action through surgical strike was done. This was never happened in the history of Indian military force. The army chief was reportedly forced by the Bjp government to convene the press meet so that the party would also get mileage politically. Hitherto, Indian army attacked Pakistan numerous times but the previous government never forced the army to politicize the issue.

In connection with the ongoing happenings, the Congress party has demanded the Bjp government to show proofs of the surgical strikes done in PoK. Although the party praised the surgical strike, they sought recorded evidences on the said attack on Pak. "A huge attack was done on Pakistan in 2013. Yet, the Congress government did not try to gain political mileage," says the former financial minister and the Congress party's top brass, Chidambaram. In the meanwhile, giant sized posters, flexes and hoardings of Bjp and Indian military forces are seen in poll bound Uttar pradesh which betoken Bjp's political gain with the Indo-Pak war.
