Nagarjuna Made Atleast 10 Crores Profit With Nirmala Convent

Nirmala Convent’ is aggressively promoted by media as a pure Akkineni Nagarjuna film. Going by his positive times with ‘Manam, Soggade Chinni Nayana’ taking him into toppers list, everyone expected a minimum guarantee film despite debutants Roshan and Shriya Sharma aren’t attention grabbers. Unfortunately, director Naga Koteshwara Rao delivered a biggest disaster of the season.

Apparently, the Box Office fate of film did not hinder the profits of Nagarjuna and Nimmagadda Prasad. After bankrolling a meager budget on ‘Nirmala Convent’ which hasn’t got any value in the main casting team, Nagarjuna immediately kept it for sale. Generally whenever Nag feels confident about the movies made on his home banner, he retains the distribution rights and completes the business by self.

Indirectly Nag sent a message into market that he isn’t confident about ‘Nirmala Convent’ by putting the product for trade. An enthusiastic distributor (promised to keep the name hidden) is reported to have paid Rs.12 Crores bagging whole Telugu version rights (exclusive of satellite) and Nagarjuna was more than happy to sign the deal reaping huge profits from ‘Nirmala Convent’ much before release.
