It's now official.Andhra Pradesh state capital's name has been confirmed as Amaravathi. This news was officially received by AP's Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Addressing to the media Chandrababu Naidu explained the significance of the name given to the capital city. Following justifications are revealed by CBN>

* According to Indian mythologies, lord Indra's capital is Amarathi.

* Amareshwara temple was dedicated to lord Shiva, one of the famous Pancharamas. Amaravathi is also called Dakshina Kasi.

* According to the history of AP, Amaravathi was the capital of Shathavahanas. It was also called Dhanyakatakam.

* This was an important place for Buddhism from the 2nd century BCE.
