Natasamrat Akkineni Nageswara Rao was the first hero of tollywood to have played dual roles in a movie. The movie's name was 'Iddaru Mitrulu' released in the year, 1961 and proved to be the blockbuster at the box office. ANR played the roles Ajay Babu and Vijay in the movie. Rajasulochana and EV Saroja played the female lead roles in the family entertainer. 

S Rajeswara Rao composed wonderful tunes which made the movie a musical hit. Songs such as, 'Khushee khusheega navvuthoo( Lyricist Dasarathi's first song), 'Ee musi musi navvula', 'Oho oho ninne koredaa', 'Hello hello O Ammayee', 'Padavela Radhika pranaya sudha geethikaa' etc. are evergreen melodies. Adurthi Subba Rao directed the movie D.Madhusudan Rao produced this movie.
