'Dookudu' was not only a blockbuster but also paved the way for Prince Mahesh Babu, to get best actor awards in different arenas. So far he has received 'Cine MAA', 'Filmfare' and 'SIIMA' awards for his best performance in 'Dookudu' movie. Obviously, everybody expected that he would bag another best actor award from 'Santhosham Film Awards Function', which was held on 12th August in Hyderabad. Leaving a big shock to everybody, the organizers announced the best actor award to Natasimham Nandamuri  Balakrishna for his performance in mythological flick 'Sri Ramarajyam'. Balayya received this award from universal hero Kamal Haasan. Meanwhile, Nayantara, who acted as Sita in 'Sri Ramarajyam' received best heroine award in the function. 

Music direction by Maestro Ilayaraja and directed by Bapu, 'Sri Ramarajyam' was made as a critically acclaimed film last year. Akkineni Nageswara Rao played 'Valmiki' role in the movie. Srikanth as Lakshmana was apt in his role. The movie was produced by Yalamanchili Saibabu.
