'Eega' Movie's Exact Status in A.P

Ace Director S.s.ranamouli's 'Eega' got positive talk on its first day of its release. There after, media has given more than enough boost to the movie for various reasons like, to encourage a different movie, due to the over publicity of Rajamouli and Suresh Babu etc. Even today, many people are of the opinion that the movie has been a unanimous blockbuster in all the areas are concerned. However, when it comes to ground realities, the situation is quite different. Based on the total collections of the movie is concerned, the movie is undoubtedly, considered as hit to super hit. But it cannot be a blockbuster. More over, in some of the areas, the movie is facing hardships to get break even. Check out the details of those areas.

In West Godavari, the movie got its pre release business done for around Rs.2 crores. However, at the end of its three weeks run, the movie could collect only Rs.1.67 crores. The movie  still lags behind in Rs.30 to 40 lakhs share to get break even. Even in East Godavari, the movie is likely to end up Rs.2.25 crores share at the end of its full run and it can be considered a mediocre business. Long back, Arundhathi collected Rs.2.35 crores share in this area. In Nellore too, the movie has collected just Rs.1.19 crores at the end of its three weeks run. In Ceded, the movie is likely to end up with Rs.6 crores business. 

However, 'Eega' is extremely good at Nizam area, where the movie collected Rs.11+ crores at the end of its three weeks run. In this area the movie can be considered as a blockbuster. In Krishna, Guntur and Vizag also the movie has got good shares. On a whole, 'Eega' is not such a big hit in A.P.,as some of the media projected it, however, we can undoubtedly say that it is a hit movie.
