Telugu eyes on 'Masala Cafe'

‘Masala Café’ renamed as ‘Kalakalappu’ is a low budgeted Tamil film released on 11th May is doing tremendous business in Kollywood for its rib tickling comedy. Directed by Sundar C as his 25th venture, this movie was released amidst very low expectations is thoroughly enjoyed by Tamil audience. Now, Film Nagar folks are saying that some of the popular Telugu film producers who has constant eye on neighborhood market are running behind Sundar’s wife Khushbu, producer of ‘Kalakalappu’ to bag the remake rights.

Comedy films always have good market in Telugu, whether they might be direct releases or dubbed ones or no matter remakes. ‘Kalakalappu’ has Shiva, Vimal, Anjali, Oviya and Santhanam in lead characters. However, we might get the name of Telugu Producer to remake this subject while Khusbhu, thrilled by this strange success has already announced to go for a sequel of same.
