3 Industry hits BTW 'Khushi' & 'GS'

Power Star Pawan Kalyan's industry hit movie, 'Khushi' was released on 27th April, 2001. This movie collected a share of Rs.24 crores which was never seen by the tollywood box office till that time. And Pawan Kalyan's 'Gabbar Singh' was released on 11th May, 2012. The movie is currently on its way to break all the records of tollywood. However, it is too early to predict it becomes an industry hit or not. Meanwhile, we have to discuss the details of industry hit movies which were released between 'Khushi' and 'Gabbar Singh'. Have a look at the following analysis.

INDUSTRY HIT DEFINITION: A movie, which crosses all the share records of previous movies and sets a new bench mark of tollywood is called an industry hit movie. Do remember that the movies stand at second or third place cannot be called as industry hits. However, they can be treated as industry second biggest hit or industry third biggest hit etc.

INDRA: This movie was released on 25th July, 2002. This movie has broken all the records set by 'Khushi' and set the new bench mark to tollywood by collecting Rs.33 crores share. The movie was success in creating long run records like, 156 direct 50s, 118 direct 100s and 32 direct silver jubilees.

POKIRI: This movie was released on 28th April, 2006. This movie broke all the records of 'Indra' and collected a share of Rs. 37+ crores. Since the movie was released in less number of centers( 200+ only), the movie could not get any long run records.

MAGADHEERA: This movie was released on 31st July, 2009. This movie collected an unbelievable share of Rs.80 crores in its full run and it is still unbeatable. This movie set long run records like 280 fifties, 223 direct 100s and industry all time long run record for more than two years run in Kurnool city( with shifted theaters)
