As per the latest info, the President of India, Mrs Prathibha Patil, selected  Sachin Tendulkar as a member of the Upper House(Rajya Sabha) of Parliament from her quota. Earlier, Sachin Tendulkar met the AICC President, Mrs.Sonia Gandhi and gave his nod to become the M.P.of Rajyasabha. Tendulkar, who made his debut in international cricket in the year, 1989 has made a total of 100 centuries in test as well as one day cricket. He is one of the players of world cup winning team. He is the highest scorer of test cricket and one day cricket as well.

Much to everybody's surprise, Sachin Tendulkar is the only player who is elected as M.P., without getting retired from cricket. Now, million dollar question is that whether Sachin continue to play cricket or will he retire from cricket to discharge his duties as a politician. Anyways, let's hope he will reach to many heights in politics as well.
