Did Janhvi oppose Peddi scenes, Actor Gayatri exposes her

Janhvi's role in Ram Charan's Peddi directed by Buchi Babu Sana drew so much criticism that the director was forced to apologise and promise to delete the objectionable scenes.
In the meantime, few whatsapp chats are going viral attributed to Janhvi that she opposed to such scenes and Ram Charan intervened and even shouted at the cinematographer.
ccording to screenshots circulated by fan pages, Janhvi repeatedly objected to specific camera angles used while filming scenes featuring her character. One of the most widely shared messages, reportedly dated October 30, shows the actor writing, “I told him no b**b and waist shots (sic).”
In the same exchange, she claimed that co-star Ram Charan had stepped in to support her concerns. “And Ram sir is so sweet he also yelled at him and said you will not take such angles of her ever again. So he got upset (sic).”
In another message, Janhvi appeared to describe the issue as part of a broader pattern within the industry, writing, “It keeps happening in the south (sic).”
The conversation reportedly continued when fans compared the situation to criticism faced by Kiara Advani in Game Changer. Responding to the comparison, Janhvi allegedly wrote, “No, in this what they were taking was worse. But Ram sir said no way, stop (sic).”
The screenshots also touched on questions of consent and creative control. In one exchange, the actor expressed frustration over her attempts to communicate her concerns, writing, “You have no idea what I've been dealing with. Trying to make them understand (sic).”
She also reportedly discussed the presence of actors' parents on film sets, citing actor Sreeleela as an example. Janhvi allegedly remarked that if her father, producer Boney Kapoor, were to visit her sets, matters could become "extreme."
esponding to a fan's warning about body doubles, she allegedly wrote, “Ya I've said this but you know how it is here. They'll say close up and put camera on your cleavage. U can't trust anything (sic).”
Perhaps the most emotional moment in the leaked conversation came when the actor appeared exhausted by the experience. In one message, she reportedly said, “No more film. We are done.”
In the meantime, Gayatri Chaganti came up with a shocker on Janhvi. She said The post carried the title, "Peddi: The most expensive disrespect ever paid to a leading woman in Indian cinema."
he post argued that it is often easy to blame actresses for the roles they choose, but claimed that the circumstances surrounding Peddi were more complex. It stated, "Reports show that Janhvi Kapoor explicitly questioned these shots during post-production, a boundary that perfectly mirrors her recent public stance against the industry's habit of oversexualizing women. She drew a professional line, but the final edit kept the footage anyway. This isn't a case of an actress failing to stand up for herself. It is a director choosing to ignore a boundary because he decided her consent mattered less than his box office numbers."
Reacting to the post, Gayatri disagreed with the suggestion that Janhvi was solely a victim in the situation. In the comments section, she wrote, "I agree with everything but Janhvi being an obvious victim here. She has played an eye candy in pretty much every film before this. If we're being real here, no one is hiring her for her acting chops."
She further elaborated on her point, writing, "In fact, she doesn't miss any chance to sexualise every character through her costumes (irrespective of the backstory). Her body is her whole image. I am all for flaunting glamour when the character needs to. Go on, do your thing. But in a film like Param Sundari? Total unnecessary. All her 'traditional modest outfits' are still made to look sexy."
Gayatri added, "Then she suddenly rips into an explicitly revealing saree for her engagement song, happening in rural Kerala. Not to forget Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. Her cleavage is seen even in the scenes where she's playing a teacher, a preschool teacher no less. I can name ten more such instances but, you get the picture."
