Peddi Release Date Eying Toxic Date

Ram Charan’s Peddi has reportedly decided to postpone its April 30 release date and is now looking at a strategic mid-year window. While the makers have not made an official announcement yet, industry sources say the team is waiting to lock a confirmed alternative date before going public. This careful approach aims to avoid the uncertainty and mixed messaging seen in past postponement cycles.

The Peddi team is reportedly focusing on June 4 as the new release date. That slot is currently held by Yash’s pan-India film Toxic. This would put Ram Charan’s Peddi in direct competition with Toxic, unless Yash’s film gets postponed again. Toxic has a history of release delays, so industry trackers believe Peddi could take June 4 if Toxic shifts.

Earlier reports suggested Peddi was targeting a broader June-July window after music director A.R. Rahman confirmed post-production is still underway. June 4 looks like a narrower but strategic choice if the date becomes available. Toxic has faced multiple postponements already, most recently moving from March 19 to June 4, 2026 due to Middle East market concerns and GCC tensions.

Another delay could hurt audience anticipation and overall buzz for the Yash starrer, especially with the long wait since its first announcement. In contrast, Peddi could benefit from a clearer release window and less competition if it secures June 4 without a clash.
