Thalaivar 173 for long has been the cynosure of all eyes as Super Star Rajinikanth and Universal Hero Kamal Haasan are coming together. While Kamal Haasan is bankrolling the project, Rajinikath is starring in it.

The makers yesterday announced the film's director. Cibi Chakravarthi of Sivakarthkeyan's Don fame has been roped in as the director after C.Sundar, opted to walk out of the project.

Now, reports are coming that Rajinikanth is doing the story narrated to Nani. It is known that after the success of Don, Cibi approached Nani and even flew down to Hyderabad and narrated the story. Nani however didnot take the project forward though he liked the story due to budget constraints.

Sources say Cibi will be doing the same story with Rajinikanth. This is exciting all the fans and movie lovers. The film's music is tuned by Anirudh Ravichander.
