Ranveer Singh turning Zombie in Pralay. Ranveer Singh is on a high with his spy thriller Dhurandhar directed by Aditya Dhar turning out to be a blockbuster.

Now, reports are coming that he is turning zombie in his upcoming film. The apocalyptic zombie thriller titled Pralay.  Jai Mehta, son of acclaimed filmmaker Hansal Mehta,  will be marking his debut as the director and it is expected to go to sets by July or Aug 2026.

Jai Mehta worked as a co director for the much acclaimed webseries Scam-1992  The Harshad Mehta Story.

The film is said to explore survival in a collapsing world, using the zombie genre as a metaphor for social, emotional, and moral breakdown.

The film will go to sets once Ranveer Singh completes Don 3. The film directed by Farhan Akthar will go to sets early 2026. A source shares “Large portions of Mumbai will be digitally aged to reflect decay and abandonment," The source added "Pralay will re imagine Mumbai in a devastated, near-unrecognisable form, drawing visual inspiration from The Hunger Games. The makers reportedly plan to combine large-scale physical sets with AI-driven digital extensions to age and abandon sections of the city."

The source added “Ranveer and Jay want to kick up a storm within an unexplored genre. Pralay will be shot right after Ranveer finishes with Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3. It will have special effects on a par with the Korean zombie films. Ranveer wants to sustain the momentum in his career after Dhurandhar with Don 3 and Pralay.”
