Jana Nayagan is more than half of Bhagavanth Kesari

Thalapathy Vijay is starring in Jana Nayagan which is directed by H.Vinoth. Expectations are high on the project as it happens to be Vijay's last project before he concentrates full fledged in politics.

For long rumours spread that Jana Nayagan is the remake of Balakrishna's action entertainer Bhagavant Kesari. Jana Nayagan stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead and Bobby Deol in key role. Prior to this, Vinoth readied a story and narrated the same to Kamal Haasan.

But Kamal Haasan didnot star in the film and reports came that he is doing the same film with Vijay. But when rumours spread that the film is the remake of Bhagavanth Kesari, he refuted those claims. But inside talk is Jana Nayagan story is 60% of Bhagavanth Kesari and the remaining, he made changes accordingly.

Vijay acted in this film keeping his political ambitions and so there will be political references and dialogues promoting Vijay's party TVK ideology. The film is releasing on 9 Jan 2026.
