All about Varanasi powerful Goddess. Rajamouli-Mahesh Babu's Varanasi is becoming the talk of the movie lovers across the country. The powerful glimpse left all speculating about the film's storyline.

The glimpse apart from various timelines, showed the stunning visuals of Goddess Chinnamastha Devi. As per Hindu scriptures,  Chinnamasta means whose head is severed. She is also called as  Chhinnamastika, Chhinnamasta Kali, Prachanda Chandika and Jogani Maa and is one of the  Mahavidyas, ten goddesses from the esoteric tradition of Tantra, and a ferocious aspect of Mahadevi, the Hindu Mother goddess. The self-decapitated nude goddess, usually standing or seated on a divine copulating couple, holding her own severed head in one hand and a scimitar in another. Three jets of blood spurt out of her bleeding neck and are drunk by her severed head and two attendants Dakini and Varnini.

According to the puranas, the Goddess' quest couldn’t be satisfied even after killing all the demons and so she severs her head and drinks her own blood.

The Goddess symbolises aspects of Devi: the life-giver, the life and a life-taker, described by her iconography (she is fed by using her own blood). Those who makes her happy will get immortal strength and can conquer anyone. The glimpse visual showed Priyanka Chopra on the sword of Mandakini (Priyanka Chopra) and it seems Rudra (Mahesh Babu) performs ritual to please the Goddess to conquer his enemies.
