Fans got super thrilled when Kamal Haasan announced project with Super Star Rajinikanth on his banner Raaj Kamal Films banner.
Kamal roped in Sundar C as the director and everyone got excited as Sundar C. directed Rajinikanth's Arunachalam in 1997. Now, even before the film went to sets, shocking developments happened.
Sundar C opted out of the project. Sharing the details, he posted "Due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances, I have made the difficult decision to step back from the prestigious project, #Thalaivar173."
He continued to the experience as a "dream come true" and expressed deep respect for both the actor and the producer. "My association with these two icons goes back a long way, and I will always hold them in the highest regard," referring to his earlier association with Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.
He said "I thank both of them from the bottom of my heart for considering me for this magnum opus." and added "Please accept my sincere apologies if this news has disappointed those who had eagerly anticipated this venture."
